It's Been a Long, Long Time Coming....

Haven't wrote in a while. I have been working on something academic but I keep putting it off it's like 99% done eventually I'll get around to finishing it.

About a week ago I went to Target to get some new headphones and I stopped and looked at Cd's for a minute. The Knux's Remind Me in Three Days... caught my eye.

This guys defiantly don't look like the average hip hop artists, so with a little curiosity and impulse buying I bought the CD. It's great.

The Knux have a very unique sound. Their production and hooks seem to be motivated by an interesting combination of soul, classic rock and techno. This unique sound can make some great music.

My two favorite tracks would probably be:
Shine Down and
Bang Bang

Concerned American

Alright, reading more about Americans recent lack of motivation to study and excel academically, I have begun to study sociology, practice my grammar and writing skills with English 3200, and practice my math skills using a math textbook. There is certainly a lot of room for improvement and I figure I might as well attempt to perfect myself though such a concept is obviously impossible if you shoot for perfection you maybe be surprised with your results as my basketball coach used to say. Either way, working hard at work is good for me but I should always exercise my mind frequently. So, I will be soon writing pieces on topics of interest and so on and so forth. I also will of course countiune to holler at Charles Hamilton and point out good music. Well, a little mission statement I guess. Alright. That's about it. I got a Sociology textbook with my name on so I have to go study.

That's so crazy. I understand they didn't truly fight but the second verse is based of the dad's story, true shit. Either way its a great song. Either way not much more to say, but this song is ridiculous.

Check Up

Thank God, Charles is alright. I honestly thought he was dead for sure. Shit's been up hill man. Charles doing better. I stopped thinking about shit, bought a car. It's going real well. I'm about to drop a fire ass verse for ya'll today or tomarrow. Lol I crack myself up saying ya'll when I know no one gives a damn or reads this. I am about to holler at Charles Hamilton. If he reads it, then its straight. That's the only person I'd give a fuck about reading it anyways. Either way.


After reading "Are We Rome?" by Cullen Murphy, I have decided I need to become more educated and begin to work harder in life. I do not want to be a part of the generation who causes are country to collapse. On another note, I understand that books are supposed to be underlined but I could not find the underline thing, so I put it in quotes. According to this novel, in 1956 450 of the 750 graduating class of Harvard went on to military service. In 2000, only 8 of 1,000 graduating class went into the military. I honestly believe our country is in a much dire situation then we truly acknowledge. So, I am going to be preparing myself to be very successful after high school and possibly join the military.

Well, another day without a hearing anything from Charles Hamilton. Has forced me to look out for more good rappers talking about more then getting their dicks sucked and money. And there is soooo many good rappers and more importantly rappers with real messages. For example, Poe Picasso, M-Dot, D'Mite, and ShowTuFli. Like the shit's just ridiculous. I just discovered D'Mite and I'm so siced about it. This man's a fucking boss. And of course straight out of my area, DMV. Shit's so tight. It's a positive vibe which is unfourtently unpopular. It's real music. Not everyone is a drug dealer and a gangster. Shit, not many people are. I love seeing someone expressing themselves and not being influnced by other's shit.
