Wednesday Morning

Not quite Tuesday morning, but I am about to write honest shit:

I was watching the most ridiculous movie a few days ago, or I guess it's a documentary, w/e. It's called The Pharmacratic Inquisition.

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=825942553983229569&ei=RztCSqqSKYjrlAfezdCyBw&hl=en

It talks about how Christianity is just an adoption of a religion worshiping the skies, zodiacs and psychedelic mushrooms. It's crazy to think about. Like, the video was pretty well researched and convincing, but I'm not sure if I truly believe what it is saying, but regardless what if that is true? What if Judaism and later Christianity were truly adoptions of previous religions just with new deities to make them acceptable to the modern masses. Would that leave Islam as the true religion of God? Or is Islam also a part of this modern adoption? It's interesting because Islam adopts the teachings of Judaism and Christianity (apart from Jesus, being the Son of God) as the basis of their own religion and that Muhammad is just the last prophet God has sent to the world bringing new holy laws and practice.

So, if all three of these religions, in theory are truly illegitimate, then people have killed each other over false and untrue religions for thousands of years. Actually, though religion does create hope for many persons in poverty and facing other adversity, I believe violent would greatly be reduced. To break it down with a few examples from history.

The Crusades, naturally would never have occurred. The Crusades resulted in the deaths of millions of persons soldiers and civilians. There are countless accounts of massacres of civilians performed by both sides of the wars. It is rather sickening to me that the same religion that I follow, Catholicism has created so much pain and death, even though we teach that is a sin to kill and our prophet taught us, "there is no stronger weapon then to turn a foe to a friend." The Crusaders also slaughtered countless citizens of Constantinople and then sacked the city. All because our beliefs differ from the Orthodox Christians. In conclusion, the Papal Authority is too blame for the Crusades since they were declared and ordered by a pope.

The Inquisition, not the inquisition that many are familiar with in the Americas, because I believe the Spanish and Portuguese would have been just as brutal if there was no religion, because they were greedy their aspirations did not truly have much to do with God or conversation though they used that as a cover. No, I am speaking of the Inquisition began by Pope Innocent the Third. Using the army of the Crusades the Pope ordered the slaughter of countless Christian Bible believers in France. Entire cities were completely destroyed and no one was left alive. This is more because of a quest for power than religious reasoning. As the Bible became more openly aviable to all citizens many Catholics relized some of the Church;s teachings did not follow the teachings of the Bible. They began to speard this message and built entire societies based around the Bible's teachings, rather then the Church's. The Pope was outraged and in an attempt to secure power over the newfound believers he slaughtered and toture as many as 50 million persons. The Inquistion lasted for 605 years and was countiuned by Pope after Pope. 75 popes after Innocent the Third endorsed the horrible methods used to supress the truth of the Bible to force people to submit to "Mother Church." The Inquistion speard entirely thoughout Europe and discovered one could skin another down to the waist beacuse they would die. This is the same church who champions themselves modern day civil and human rights leaders. The Papal Authority is again to blame for this atrocities.

The Holocaust is very debatable. It could easily be agrued that Hitler's haterd would have resulted in the Slaughter of some ethnic group if there were no Jews, but it should be noted that Vactican City allied themselves with Mussolini as well as Hitler even though they knew what was going on. Again, the Catholic Church recieves at least some blame.

There are more so I'll write a little more tomarrow.

Out.
